This expansion builds upon the two grant rounds that were held in America and Europe that were announced between 2020 and. In the United States saw 45 asphalt projects in 41 cities. In Europe three cities were included in the asphalt trial projects: Amsterdam (Netherlands), Glasgow, Scotland, and London (England).

In Amsterdam, the massive artwork was created by the SAMA (Street Art Museum Amsterdam) and comprised painted asphalt, benches and planters. In the name of ‘Surround Sound This is one of the most important works in art by the SAMA, spanning 9000 square feet. The transformation of Markt Plein 40-45 to an open-air marketplace changed perceptions about its surroundings.
